Welcome back to the summer term! --------------------------------- Please note there will be no playgroup on the 4th and 5th of June. These are election and local authority in-service days. --------------------------------- Our new playgroup manager started after the Easter holidays. Tori MacKay was a primary teacher in Edinburgh before moving to Inverness last summer. She will be working in the playgroup every Tuesday. --------------------------------- Pinkie the Panther has been having lots of fun over the last few weeks as he ahs been visiting different children at home. Pinkie has been sunbathing, riding bicycles and dressing up! If you have pictures of Pinkie and would like to put them on the website please email them to photos@pinkpantherplaygroup.co.uk --------------------------------- Well done everyone for raising an amazing £647.10 for Marie Curie Cancer Care with our Mini Pots of Care. The children really enjoyed watching their daffodils grow. Another thank you to everyone who gave money for Angus, Faye and Morgan's birthday. Altogether £120 was collected. We intend to let the children choose a toy for playing with in the garden this term. --------------------------------- In recent weeks the children have been identifying words and letters through play. They love writing letters and posting them at our Post Office. We had some very busy Postmen and ladies! Over the next few weeks we will be practicing our jumping, throwing and catching. We will be re-telling stories we have heard and we will be looking at all the technology we have in our playgroup room and identifying what it is used for. --------------------------------- Please ensure that your child's clothing is clearly labelled with their name. With the warmer weather approaching (hopefully!) there will be jumpers and jackets on the loose! If the weather is particularly warm and sunny, sun cream should be applied to your child before coming to playgroup. A sun hat may also be useful.
