Professor
Charles Curtis & Dr Diana Curtis Dear Mr Roy, Some time has now passed since the 17th of July [1998]. when we met at the house and took possession from yourself. In the interval we have had chance to complete the furnishings and simply enjoy living there. |

In virtually every respect and detail the house has matched our best expectations. The basic design was very sound and the fact that you were able to accommodate our suggested modifications with so little difficulty impressed us greatly. The house is very comfortable indeed. We can find no fault with either workmanship or materials. Locating the house on the site (aspect, elevation) was not simple but the end result was precisely as we had hoped: the house sits well and is sheltered yet, as I am sure you will recall, the views are quite magnificent. Not least it was so pleasant to find the house spotlessly clean and the site thoughtfully and pleasantly landscaped when we arrived on the 17th. Since July we have been visited by a number of friends and colleagues and all have been effusive in their praise. One has recently completed a house on Tayside and his experiences were relayed at length and contrasted very sharply with our own. He was particularly fulsome in his praise of the project management which allowed completion almost exactly on time in spite of some adverse conditions. Finally we should like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the several members of your staff who were involved in the project and, in particular, to Mr John Urquhart. |
Welcome
